Welcome to Docu – Daily Cashflow ("we," "our," or "the App"). Docu – Daily Cashflow is designed to help users track transactions, manage personal finances, compute financial metrics (such as no-spend periods and budget allocations), and organize tax reports.
We respect your privacy and are committed to safeguarding your personal and financial data. This Privacy Policy details our practices concerning data collection, usage, storage, and our explicit compliance with Google's API policies.
1. Information We Collect and Process
#A. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
- Financial Records & Receipts: Transaction logs, income, expenses, category tags, tax records, and receipts that you record inside Docu – Daily Cashflow.
- Preference Settings: App theme, currency settings, target budgets, and local notification preferences.
- Docu – Daily Cashflow operates primarily as an on-device local application. Your financial entries remain on your device unless you explicitly opt to export or synchronize them.
B. Information Accessed via Google APIs (Google Sheets & Drive)
When you connect your Google Account to enable spreadsheet backup or export features:
- Google Profile Identity: Basic information (email address and display name) strictly to verify your active login session and show connected account status.

2. Purpose and Usage of Google User Data
#Docu uses Google Sheets API permissions exclusively for user-facing features:
Automated Export
Exporting financial logs and tax summaries into your personal spreadsheet.
Two-Way Sync
Syncing spreadsheet rows back to the local Docu database when edited externally.
Cloud Backup
Creating automated financial records backups in your private Google account.
Google API Limited Use Disclosure:
Docu’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the
Google API Services User Data Policy,
including the Limited Use requirements.
In strict compliance with these requirements:
- No AI / ML Training: We do NOT use data obtained through Google Sheets or Drive APIs to train, retrain, or fine-tune general Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning models.
- No Data Monetization or Sale: We never sell, transfer, or license your Google user data, financial logs, or contact information to third parties, advertising networks, or data brokers.
- No Advertising: Google user data accessed by Docu is never used for serving advertisements or behavioral profiling.
- Restricted Human Access: No human at Docu reads your Google Sheets data, except when you give explicit written permission for technical troubleshooting, when strictly necessary to investigate security breaches, or in response to a legally binding subpoena or applicable law.
3. Data Security and Retention
#Token Protection
Google OAuth tokens are stored in secure, sandboxed storage provided by the operating system.
Transport TLS
All communications with Google APIs are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
No Password Access
Docu never requests, sees, or stores your Google account password.
- Local Storage: By default, your financial data is stored locally on your device storage (via secure SQLite / encrypted shared preferences).
4. Your Rights, Account Disconnection & Data Deletion
#You have complete control over your data:
1. Disconnect Google Account
You can unlink your Google account anytime within Docu's settings menu (Settings > Integrations / Cloud Sync).
2. Revoke Google Access Remotely
You can immediately revoke Docu's permissions through your Google Account security center at any time:

Delete Local Data: You can delete all your financial records and app data at any time by clearing the app cache/data or uninstalling Docu.
Delete Cloud Files: Any spreadsheet created by Docu remains within your private Google Drive and can be deleted or renamed directly by you via Google Drive.
Third-Party Services
Docu does not share your financial information with third-party tracking or advertising SDKs. The only external API communication is conducted directly between your device and Google's official API servers.
Children's Privacy
Docu is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or under the legal age of consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements in Docu or regulatory requirements. Any modifications will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date.
